23 Insider Tips to Find Deals, Sales, and Clearance at Lululemon
Does Lululemon have coupons?
What about sales?
And why is Lululemon so expensive in the first place?
You probably love it or you hate it, (there are reasons to feel both), but I’m willing to bet you think you can’t afford it. . . until now.
Here is every Lululemon savings tip you need to know.
1. Lululemon adds new product to their website every Tuesday at 6:15PM EST.
Lululemon uploads new inventory to the “What’s New” section of Lululemon.com on Tuesday evenings at approximately 6:15 PM Eastern time.
They intentionally don’t make much inventory for any one style so that things will sell out and demand will increase.

2. Lululemon marks downs sale items on Thursday AM.
Lululemon has a thing against the word “sale.” Also the word “coupon.” Lame.
But, Lululemon does markdowns in store and online, and they call them “We Made Too Much,” (otherwise known as sale items).🤦♀️
Look for new markdowns online on Thursdays between 11AM-noon Eastern time and mid-morning in store.
3. Sold-out Lululemon sale items can be purchased direct from any store in the country — with free shipping.
Don’t pay full price at Lululemon.
Except for a few classic items that may not go on sale (more on that below), there’s just no reason to.
Think about it. We pay full price because either we’re impatient or, more likely, we worry that an item will be gone in our size before it makes it to markdown. And if you’re talking about online items or even your local store, you’re probably right.
But when you consider the total inventory in all the stores in the country — everything changes.

4. How to save 30% at Lululemon
Aside from warehouse sales, big savings like 50% or more at Lululemon are nearly impossible to find.
The savings you should aim for when you shop in store or online is around 30%, but it depends on the type of item you’re buying.
Tights are the hottest commodity with the stingiest markdowns.
Jackets and bags have the largest margins and see deeper markdowns.
While the savings goal for Lulu proper is about 30%,

and Warehouse sales are 50%.
5. Starting a local running club will save you 25% on all Lululemon, including sale.
Lululemon wants local fitness leaders wearing their apparel, so they established the Sweat Collective.
If you teach group fitness, personal train or lead a running club, you can join the Sweat Collective and get a 25% discount on all your Lululemon purchases, regular price and sale, both in store and online.
The program, formerly called R&D (research and development), became the Sweat Collective in February 2018.
Eligibility criteria changed, and the discount went up from 15% to 25%.
A friend leads an informal running club that meet four times a week. The club is named and they have a Facebook page, but that’s about it.
He was accepted to the Sweat Collective program immediately after online application and received final approval three days later after uploading his running club schedule and answering some other simple questions.
Motivation to exercise regularly has finally arrived.

Lululemon will announce the 2019 warehouse sale on their Facebook events page.
Crowds of 20,000-40,000 attend each sale. Lines are two to four hours to get into the building.
Dressing rooms are communal.
There is a 25 item limit. Insanity is at a maximum.
As with all Lulu markdowns, warehouse sales are final.
Tags are removed at checkout to prevent store returns, and white removable tags located inside the garment have a black line through them.
12. Price points at warehouse sales are around 50% off.
Warehouse sales aren’t just hype. The prices you’ll find here are the lowest you’ll see on Lululemon anytime, anywhere.
Most items are 50% off or more.
And, additional discounts are offered inside over the loudspeaker. In order to get people moving out to make room for more customers, occasionally sales associates will offer an extra 10% off your entire purchase if you get into the checkout line before a certain time.
Solid black tights are extremely difficult to find at warehouse sales. Yoga mats are about the same. Expect most items will be colorful and patterned
13. All discounted Lululemon sales are final – that includes every “We Made Too Much” rack and any outlet purchase.
There are many reasons the Lululemon reselling marketplace is so hot — and one of them is because sale merchandise cannot be returned. Always try on before you buy, and if you regret a purchase, rest assured Lululemon merchandise is extremely sellable online.
14. Lululemon eBay and Poshmark inventory balloons in the weeks following a warehouse sale.
Unless you’re lucky enough to live near a warehouse sale, the best way to save is to shop resold merchandise on eBay in the weeks after a sale. Look for items listed NWOT (new without tag).

Tradesy is smaller and more focused on high-end brands.
Poshmark is larger and more social driven.

19. Regular prices typically end in 8, markdowns in 9.
Most regular Lululemon prices end in an 8 ($48, $58, $68, $98, $118).
Most sale prices end in a 9 (and if not 9, then 4). There are exceptions. And shoes don’t follow any of the rules.
The digit info is useful when anticipating what the first markdown might be.
An item marked $98 is probably gonna go to $79. An item marked $68 is probably gonna go to $49. Items marked $118 will often go to $89.
Nearly all apparel in the store (besides shoes) has prices ending in 0, 4, 8 or 9.
20. Small sizes sell out first. And black is the hardest color to find on sale.
The most difficult Lululemon items to purchase at a discount? Solid black cool racerback tanks, solid black Wunder Under tights (and really all black tights, for that matter).
Lululemon intentionally produces limited quantities of most styles, because they want items to sell out.
But, classic styles that get produced continuously don’t sell out and don’t get marked down.
If you see a sale on the black tights you love, buy them.
21. Order multiples for a team discount of 25%.
The Lululemon team program allows you to buy multiples of some items for 25% off.
There is variation between quantity requirements and discounts from store to store, but the general corporate rule is 25% off for orders of 12 or more. Some stores will give quantity team discounts for as few as 6 of the same item. And some stores give 30% off instead of 25%.
22. Lululemon Fabrics: What’s the Difference between Luon and Luxtreme anyway?

So, that’s that. Did you make it through?
Bottom line. Lululemon is expensive. And while you can easily save with these in-store tips, in many cases you’re still paying quite a lot.
Warehouse sales or buying used and taking advantage of free repairs is a legit way to get into the brand without the cost.
If you want to shop Lululemon, there are ways to make it work.
